Mobility Vehicle Test Drive

Ecoful Town proposes various means of transportation that aim to reduce the environmental burden and showcases a comprehensive approach to better transportation.
You can test drive a personal mobility, single-seater, ultra-compact EV (COMS), an ultra-compact electrified mobility vehicle (COMOVE), a walking area BEV (standing, seated, or wheelchair-linked type), a hydrogen-powered vehicle (MIRAI) or an ultra-compact EV (C+pod).
* Personal mobility vehicles refer to single-seaters developed for easier transportation and a more convenient life. They are highly expected to fill the gap between walking and riding in existing vehicles.
Drive times

(1) 11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (2) 2:30–3:00 p.m. (3) 4:30–5:00 p.m.
Time required: 30 minutes

How to make a reservation

Select one of the following three courses.
After checking the test drive requirements for each type of vehicle, make a reservation for the course you want by clicking on the “Reserve” button and filling in the required information.

  • (1) Personal Mobility Course (COMS, COMOVE, walking area BEV)
  • (2) Hydrogen-Powered Vehicle Course (MIRAI)
  • (3) Ultra-Compact EV Course (C+pod)
Note

*Please wear a mask when taking part in this event (This request does not apply to infants and babies.)

Please note that the mobility vehicle of your choice may not be available due to maintenance or other reason.
You are not allowed to test drive a mobility vehicle if you are wearing high heels or sandals.
Your test drive reservation may be cancelled in the case of bad weather or any other reason

Electrified Mobility Vehicles for Test Drives

  • COMS

    This ultra-compact EV is already in use in Toyota City.
    The COMS emits no CO2 or air pollutants during driving.
    It is fully chargeable via a household outlet in approximately six hours and offers a range of approximately 50 km.

    [Test drive requirements]

    • (1) You must carry your driver's license with you
    • (2) You must not be intoxicated
  • COMOVE

    This ultra-compact three-wheel mobility vehicle is well suited for driving along narrow alleys and on sidewalks.
    The COMOVE is easily foldable into a compact size and stored in a small space.
    It is fully chargeable via a household outlet in approximately four hours and offers a range of approximately 15 km.

    • (2) Weight: 30–90 kg
    • (3) Age: 12 years old or above(4) Consent from a parent if you are under 18
    • (5) You must not be intoxicated(6) Test drives are not available on rainy days.
  • Walking area BEV (standing type)

    This standing-type mobility vehicle blends in with pedestrian spaces. It supports those who are on patrol or guard duty or carrying small items.

    • (1) Height: 140–185 cm
    • (2) Weight: Up to 100 kg
    • (3) Consent from a parent if you are under 16
    • (4) Not intoxicated or pregnant
    • (5) Test drives are not available on rainy days.
  • Walking area BEV (seated type)

    This stylish, seated-type mobility vehicle supports those carrying many items or who have difficulty walking.

    [Test drive requirements]

    • (1) Height: 140–185 cm
    • (2) Weight: Up to 75 kg
    • (3) Consent from a parent if you are under 16
    • (4) Not intoxicated or pregnant
    • (5) Test drives are not available on rainy days.
  • Walking area BEV (wheelchair-linked type)

    This wheelchair-linked mobility vehicle can be attached to or detached from a wheelchair on demand, so that a manual wheelchair can be powered or brought back to manual.

    • (2) Weight: Up to 75 kg
    • (3) Consent from a parent if you are under 16
    • (4) Not intoxicated or pregnant
    • (5) Test drives are not available on rainy days.
  • MIRAI
    MIRAI

    Released in 2020, this second-generation model with superior environmental performance emits no carbon dioxide or environmentally-harmful substances when driven. With MIRAI’s negative emissions, the more you drive, the cleaner the air becomes. In addition to the latest and most advanced safety features, MIRAI is also equipped with a power supply function that can be used in the event of a disaster. This eco-car of the future is helping to create a sustainable mobility society.

    • (1) You must carry a valid driver’s license with you.
    • (2) You must not have consumed alcohol. 
  • C+pod
    C+pod

    At approximately 2.5-m long, 1.3-m wide and 1.6-m high, this two-seater, ultra-compact EV was launched to a limited audience of corporate users, local governments and other organizations by Toyota Motor Corporation in December 2021. Toyota City is the first area in Japan to introduce C+pod for use in at-home care and other medical services.

    • (2) You must not have consumed alcohol.

Please note that some of the mobility vehicles in the videos above are not available for test drives.
